Tamils should be grateful to President

All Tamils should be grateful to President Mahinda Rajapaksa for ensuring their safety and their free movement in the North and East.

All political parties are able to campaign freely in the entire Northern and Eastern Provinces. Today anyone from any part of Sri Lanka is totally free to travel to Jaffna and vice versa.

Thanks to our President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is having a visionary political leadership. All Tamils must give the support to our President to the second mandate for development and prosperity. The President has committed to strengthen and continue the ongoing developments in the North.

Complete elimination of terrorism followed by prosperity and peace in the North was given by our President. We all must trust the President in future.

We all are free and can engage in our daily work without fear. No curfews, A9 Road open round-the-clock and no passes, are the main features for free movement to and fro.

Thus I appeal to all Tamil people to support our President for another six year term so that he could concentrate only on prosperity, economy and improvement of life. Thus year 2010 will be the year of peace and prosperity for all Tamil people in Sri Lanka.
