Mobitel commences operations in Jaffna

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel The National Mobile Service Provider inaugurated its operations in Jaffna recently, thus marking a watershed in the North-East. The Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare, Douglas Devananda was present at the opening ceremony.

The Jaffna branch is a one-stop shop for communication needs which offers a whole range of services provided by Mobitel island-wide. Anything from a simple pre-paid connection to HSPA services are made available to the Customers. It marks the beginning of a new era for the people of the North and the East as Mobitel sets out to bring the benefits of the 21st century.
