Heart
Heart is a rock band whose founding members came from Seattle,
Washington, USA in the early 1970s. Going through several lineup
changes, the only constant members of the group are sisters Ann and
Nancy Wilson.
The group rose to fame in the 1970s with their music being influenced
by hard rock as well as folk music. After diminishing in popularity by
the mid-1980s, the band created a major comeback in 1985, experiencing
further success with their power ballads throughout the rest of the
decade. By the mid-1990s, Heart left their 1980s' sound and went back to
their hard rock roots which they continue to play today. They have sold
over 30 million albums worldwide.
Alone
Songwriters: Steinberg, Billy, Kelly, Tom
I hear the ticking of the clock
I'm lying here the room's pitch dark
I wonder where you are tonight
No answer on the telephone
And the night goes by so very slow
Oh I hope that it won't end though
Alone
Till now I've always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone
How do I get you alone
How do I get you alone
You don't know how long I have wanted
To touch your lips and hold you tight oh darling
You don't know how long I have waited
And I was gonna to tell you tonight
But the secret is still my own
And my love for you is still unknown
Alone
Till now I've always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone
How do I get you alone
How do I get you alone
How do I get you alone
How do I get you alone
Alone, alone
