All-round applause for President's victory

President Mahinda Rajapaksa who always listens to trade union leaders in the true workers' leader of this country, said the Sri Lanka Independent Professionals Organisation.

The first tour year term of President Rajapaksa rendered immense service to the country. Undoubtedly his second term will usher in a highly developed nation, the SLIPO said.

JHU Parliamentary group leader Ven. Aturaliye Rathana There said that the people of this country had rejected terrorism again by electing President Rajapaksa for another term with a resounding majority.The masses of this country had recognised the group led by Sarath Fonseka as a harmful anti social force.

People defeated JVP strategies to come to power by wrong means, Ven. Thera said.The chief incumbent of the Colombo Dharmayatanaya Ven. Alle Gunawansa Thera said that the poor rural folk highly appreciated the services rendered by President Rajapaksa to the nation by eradicating terrorism from Sri Lanka.

The poor rural masses did not listen at all to the false rumours spread by the anti social local and foreign elements.

The Government and President Rajapaksa faced enormous difficulties that blocked the people friendly policies.

The problems of the rural masses who supported the President must be solved by the government without delay, Ven. Thera said.

The ex-Secretary of Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya - Lake House branch Sunil Sendanayaka said that the UNP were badly defeated in the Presidential Election - 2010 due to its ignorance of faithful members and party activists.
