Revatha Vidyalaya in command

Revatha Vidyalaya, at Balapitiya were on top at the end of the first days play in their inter schools under 19 cricket tournament match against Kingswood College. Kandy which began at Training College ground, Balapitiya yesterday.

Taking first strike Revatha Vidyalaya did well to score 265 all out Pulasthi Dinusha top score with a fine 51 which had 7 fours. Useful contributions too came from Dulaj Dananjaya 45 Nadeera Silva 44 and Shehan Manuruwan 45. Subodha Premaratne bowled to capture 5 for 70.

Kingswoodians in their turn at the wickets were not in a happy position with the scoreboard reading 99 for 6 and they need a further 66 runs to avoid the follow on with only the tail enders to bat.
