Elephant beats Swan

Having achieved his objective of skipping the Prez polls by making Fonny a scapegoat, Ra-Blue is adamant that the Greens should revert to the elephant symbol at the election that is general. He has flatly rejected a proposal by Fonny to contest the forthcoming election under his Swan.

Wedding Sam's proposal

Fonny and Wedding Sam have ironed out differences after the latter assured the former that he would persuade Ra-Blue to contest the general elections under a common symbol. "We have lost even our hometowns. Hence, the best is a common alliance with Jay We Pee and Es El Em See", Sam had told Fonny.

Ma-know infuriated

Ma-know Gun had walked out of a crucial meeting with Ra-Blue over his Opposition figures. Ma-know was infuriated after Ra-Blue told the meeting that the parties of Ma-know and Ha-Cream would each get a slot when finalising nominations for the Colombo district.

Bell Boys' strategy

Having realised their deteriorating vote base, the Bell Boys, through Fonny, have approached the Green camp to contest the Gen election under a common symbol. But most seniors of the Elephant Party have totally rejected it, fearing that the Bell Boys could gain undue advantage.

Sa-jeet's plan

Fearing he would be unable to retain his seat if the Bell Boys contest under a common symbol and 'rob' the two likely Em Pee slots from the Hambantota district. Sa-jeet, the love slave, has persuaded his leader to stick to the elephant symbol. A far-reaching decision eh?

Mah-yanta's 'deals'

Mah-yanta of Mahaweli Dissa fame has crossed over to Fonny's camp for a mere Rs. 2 million given by an Ampara business tycoon. Earlier, Mah-yanta took one million rupees to remain in the blue camp. Then he fell for the Greens' offer. Shameless son eh!
