Samarasinghe for clean polls



UPFA Kalutara District candidate and Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe acknowledging the greetings of his supporters as he proceeded to the Kalutara Bodhi in a motorcade after handing over nominations at the Kalutara District Secretariat on Thursday.

Kalutara district UPFA candidate and Disaster Relief Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe who handed in his nomination papers at the Kalutara District Secretariat on Thursday, pledged to conduct a clean and exemplary election campaign in keeping with the election laws stipulated by the Commissioner General of Elections.

He said he would also dedicate himself for national development and progress and welfare of the people of Sri Lanka as a whole. The Minister made this pledge before the Maha Sangha and his supporters after arriving in a procession at the Kalutara Bodhi with his supporters for special religious observances.
