Resounding defeat for SF - Duminda

Sarath Fonseka will face a resounding defeat during the forthcoming General Election, according to Duminda Silva, who is one of the Colombo district UPFA candidates.

Duminda Silva said that Fonseka who clinched the dead ropes that were handed out by Ranil Wickremesinghe during the Presidential Election would once again face the same fate after grabbing on to the dead ropes that have been provided by the JVP to him to contest in the General Election.

Addressing a public meeting which was held in Boralasgamuwa recently Duminda Silva said that the people of the country were prepared to allocate a space in the Museum for both the JVP which was acting in a politically brash and swollen-headed manner as well as the Retired General.

Speaking further Duminda Silva went on to state as follows:

“Politics is a vocation in which you serve the public and not one in which a person engages in, in order to fulfil personal vendettas or gains.

Accordingly by engaging in such political ideologies Sarath Fonseka will only reap the wrath of the public. Therefore the JVP which effectively took away his right to be remembered through the annals of history as a hero who made immense sacrifices for the nation will very surely pay the utmost price for this despicable deed during his lifetime.

The JVP which was attempting to enter Parliament on the votes of the United National Party is today attempting to launch a challenge to Ranil through Sarath Fonseka.

Accordingly the Retired General who gets entrapped in these plots will continue to be in a state of unending desolation instead of an unending operation.
