  Master Blaster Sanath Jayasuriya!
Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Sanath Jaysuriya, who has played many
match-winning innings taking Sri Lanka to greater heights in the field
of cricket, is gearing to an equally greater role in politics.
Jayasuriya, still a member of the Sri Lanka national team and
currently figuring in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be contesting
at the forthcoming Parliamentary general elections from Matara district
under the ruling United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA).
Motivated by Sri Lankas great achievements under the inspiring
leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Jayasuriya has come forward
to make his contribution and take the Mahinda Chinthana vision forward. |
