Stalwarts under fire

The Elephant Party, on the instructions of its leader, is cracking down on party stalwarts who went that extra mile to support Fonny at the last Prez election. My-lick has severely reprimanded several top party leaders, accusing them of ‘overdoing things’.

Atta-Leader reprimanded

Atta-Leader toured Peacock-Rock to address party meetings at which he and Chopper Daya of Am-Road called upon supporters to vote for Ran-Jeet Middle-Bandara. On hearing this, an irate Ra-Blue severely reprimanded Atta-Leader.

Reddish Soome

Soome-1-sa attended a picketing campaign opposite the Pettah Bo tree in support of disgraced Fonny. But lo and behold it lasted only a few minutes as Soome, accustomed to the Western type of weather, could not bear the heat. A reddish faced Soome unable to bear it decided to call off the picketing.

Satisfying Sa-Rock

Ra-Blue has masterminded another ‘campaign’ to satisfy his happy and gay boys. One such instance was his discrete action to checkmate Boo-Dicca, the TV presenter turned politician. This was done to satisfy Sa-Rock who is facing a severe challenge from Boo-Dicca.

Ah-Killer perturbed

Johnny Boy is going great guns these days with his election campaign in the Rock-City. Fearing that Johnny would attract his personal Green votes too, Ah-Killer ran to Ra-Blue pleading for assistance. Ra-Blue, thereupon, assured him that he would go to the Rock-City and support his campaign.

Wedding Sam helpless

Fonny’s better half made several futile attempts to contact Wedding Sam, who has conveniently ignored the cry lady. “I am struggling with my own campaign. How could I possibly help a man under detention?” Sam told Gem Ferdy.

Ra-Blue reprimands Atta-Leader

The Elephant Party is confronting more problems in their lead-up to next month’s general election. The nomination list issued at Peacock-Rock has gone awry after Atta-Leader toured the district along with Chopper Daya from Am-Road.

At the meetings they addressed, the duo openly asked party supporters to extend support to Ran-Jeet Middle-Bandara, who is in the centre of the controversy of altering nomination papers.

It took no time for the news to fly to the Lane that is Fifth. An irate Ra-Blue immediately rang Atta-Leader’s on his mobile. “What the hell are you doing? You have no business to go there. That man Bandara has to face disciplinary action and I have removed him from the district leadership. Now you go there and canvass for him......,” he said.

“Nayakathuma , I came here to do party activities and strengthen .....,” Atta-Leader began to give explanations. “Well I don’t want to know all that. It’s a shame for you to go there and canvass for a man who is subjected to a disciplinary inquiry.

Hereafter, you have no business to go to the provinces for this type of activities without my prior permission,” Ra-Blue severely reprimanded Atta-Leader.

Following the high drama, Ra-Blue has taken over all party activities at Peacock-Rock under his personal supervision. It was Chopper Daya who offered a helicopter ride to Atta-Leader to woo support for Middle-Bandara.

Ka-Roo told, ‘Mind your own business’

Following the severe reprimand by his leader, Atta-Leader rushed to Colombo to have an urgent meeting with the deputy - Ka-Roo. The duo then went to the Lane that is Fifth to meet Ra-Blue.

“Don’t you have any party activities in Gampaha? Mind your own business without poking your fingers into other districts,” Ra-Blue warned Ka-Roo.

“From now, you both must tell me what you do in other districts. When you go outstations for such meetings, you must inform me first and obtain approval,” Ra-Blue told the two party stalwarts.

Turning to Atta-Leader, Ra-Blue said he had made a big mistake by putting him in the list that is national. “You have time for all these unlawful acts simply because I let you free by including your name in the National List. Actually, you should have contested and got a fresh mandate as the You Pee Ef Ae and Es El Ef Pee general secretaries. But you were reluctant to face the elections and I offered you that chance,” Ra-Blue told Atta-Leader.

A dejected Ka-Roo and Atta-Leader then rang Middle-Bandara and informed him as to what had transpired. Middle-Bandara is now forming a group of Elephant Party candidates who oppose Ra-Blue’s leadership for a ‘change’ after a ‘guaranteed defeat’ on April 8.

Soome-1-sa uncomfortable in humid conditions

Soome-1-sa attended a picketing campaign opposite the Pettah Bo tree in support of disgraced Fonny. Sandal-Netti and company had high hopes to exploit the opportunity to woo votes for the election that is general.

A police party was deployed to maintain law and order and avoid any possible unlawful acts by the Bell Boys, who are notorious for such acts.

Onlookers thought that it is going to be a massive campaign to support Fonny. However, the much publicised picketing campaign lasted only a few minutes.

Soome who is making a desperate attempt to project himself as a true red leader of the calibre of their founder Ro-Hena, felt uncomfortable with the humid conditions. Accustomed to the Western type of weather, Soome-1-sa could not bear the heat and decided to abandon their futile exercise. A reddish faced Soome was unable to bear the heat and told his Bell Boys to unfold their placards.

“We knew that will happen. That’s why we don’t worry when this man comes for picketing campaigns in the city. He is only a glib talker but could not practise the hard way. He lives in Europe and preaches to their supporters on socialist revolutions,” a nearby police officer told a fellow cop.
