ATHLETICS: Lake House felicitated its athletes who won awards
at the All-Island Masters Athletic Meet and 15th Asian Masters Athletic
Meet. ANCL Director Operations Upul Dissanayake presided at the ceremony
where K. Satchithananda - the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Athletic
Association and Mercantile Athletic Association was the chief guest.
The athletes who won the medals were: Chaminda Lal - 10,000 metres
Bronze and 5,000 metres Silver, Lucky Sriyantha Peiris - long jump and
400 metres 2 Bronze Medals, P. K. I. P. Namasiri - 100 metres Bronze and
200 metres Silver, J. A. A. Shyiam Kumara - 800 metres and 400 metres
hurdles 2 Silver Medals, Ananda Sudusinghe - 400 metres hurdles Gold
Medal, Marina Herath - 200 metres Gold Medal and 100 metres Silver
Medal.
Udula Peiris - 80 metres hurdles Gold, 200 metres and 400 metres two
Silver Medals, P. K. D. Sriyani Alwis - 100 metres Bronze Medal and 200
metres Gold Medal. Suresh Dematapitiya - the coach and K. Sachithananda
received medals in recognition of their valuable services. |
