Nrithya Sangamam in Jaffa
Nrithaya Sangamam , a performance by Aru Sri Art Theatre artists and
produced and directed by Kalasuri.Arunthathy.SriRanganathan, will be
held at the Grand Cultural Night on April 5 at Jaffna Veerasingam hall.
The performance was organised by the North-East Governors office.
The Choreography is done by senior and skilled dancers of the
heatre,Josita.Peter,Sakitha.Kugamoorthy,Luxmi Sharma,and Geeth who will
also dance along with Kanchana, Swarnamalia,Dananjayan, Pranesh,
Satheesh,Imal and others. Aru Sri Art Theatre has earned the reputation
of being innovative and extremely creative in its numerous endeavours
both locally and Internationally. Owing to its unique style of
performance,it has been invited to perform at several prestigious
festivals around the globe.
Kurosawa film festival and workshop
A film festival featuring the films by legendary Japanese filmmaker
Akira Kurosawa will be held from April 5-7 at the John de Silva Memorial
Theatre, Colombo. The films will be screened at 4.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
Kurosawa Introspective Workshop will be held on April 5 from 9.30 am to
4.00 p.m. at the same venue.
Kurosawa, joins this prestige event; through his works of art, as if
in person. Two of his colleagues, Ozu and Ichikawa will make the
celebration more colourful.
"Sirinagayin Samaga Balaporottu Novu Nivahana"
Wasantha Namaskarage's art exhibition entitled "Sirinagayin Samaga
Balaporottu Novu Nivahana" will be held at the open air art gallery,
Bandarawela Road, Etampitiya from April 4 - 30.

generation of painters" were by Sunethpriya Aravinda (oil on canvas) and
