CEAT to boost motor sports in Sri Lanka

MOTOR RACING: CEAT Sri Lanka will take a leading role in sponsoring motor racing here in Sri Lanka. CEAT will be the main sponsor of the 2010 Championships of the Sri lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR). CEAT will be the title sponsor of the SLARDAR - Championship segment in all events and races conducted by the Association, the Championship Awards Night and the Radella Hill Climb, and co-sponsor of four out of the six races that will take place from mid April to November this year.

Between April to November, CEAT will support six main races. The Radella Hill Climb on April 24 as main sponsor, and the Foxhill Supercross April 16 and 17, Cavalry Supercross in Kurunegala July 10 and 11, 2010, the Rothertham Katukurunda Curcuit Meet on August 7 and 8, the Gajaba Supercross on September 18 and 19 the Gunner Supercross on October 23 and 24 as a co-sponsor.

The sponsorship of the SLARDAR Championship is the third major commitment to Sri Lanka sports by CEAT since August 2009, when it took title sponsorship of the 2009 Premier League Division 1 Football Tournament conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka. In October the same year, CEAT entered into a three-year partnership with the Sri Lanka cricket to honour the country’s cricketers at the annual CEAT Sri Lanka Cricket Awards.
