Youthful Yohan takes the limelight!
by Ruwini Jayawardana
Candid, charming and coy are
three words which come to mind when you are face to face with Yohan de
Seram. The 28-year-old who hails from Kandy wishes to venture far in the
field of modelling. Dedicating himself to whatever he takes up, the
youth had already claimed his prize as ‘Max Male Model of the Year’. He
had also emerged second runner-up in Oriflame’s ‘Male Face of 2010’. He
says, “I have always wanted to try my hand at modelling but a suitable
opportunity did not come my way until now. I was thrilled to emerge a
winner in both competitions.”
A past pupil of Girihagama Maha Vidyalaya and Nugawela Central, Yohan
not only possesses a charismatic profile but has an artistic streak too.
He has taken up art as a subject during his Advanced Level and says that
the competition opened doors to vast knowledge. “Brian Kerkoven and
Dinesh Chandrasena trained us. It took a lot of hard work but it was
worth it in the long run,” he notes. Yohan’s style is simple yet
eye-catching.
He had sported longer locks a couple of months and has now gone for
an up-to-date spiky hairdo. He prefers shades such as blues, greens and
oranges. Having being featured in a couple of commercials, he does not
shy away from the limelight. He would even like to pursue acting. He
aims to become a draftsman and is hoping to engage in studies to reach
his target.
