SILVA DE NOEL  passed away on the 23rd March peacefully at the age of 94 years. His wish was to have a private funeral and cremation, latter part of his life he spoke very litte only listened to music. I always associate him with music. He had a fantastic sense of  humour his nephews and nieces were in fits of laughter at the stories he said a baritonee singer radio artist sang all negro spirituals and Richard Tauber songs. A swing pianist. He was called local Charlie Kunz a very good artist. He used crayon for his beautiful scenery. Noel uncle comes from a very talented family his brothers and sisters had good voices and all played the Piano. He had nine brothers and sisters out of which seven of them have gone to be with the lord, son of the late Muhandiram Justin and Winifred C.G.De. Silva of Blue Lagoon Katunayake. He leaves behind his wife Ranee daughter Swarna and Lathika Son-in-Law Rohan grand daughter Avanthi. SHIRANEE DE SILVA.
