Top prize for Ms. Dissanayake

The Sri Lanka Association of Administrative and Professional Secretaries (SLAAPS) conducted the Contest to select the Administrative and Professional Secretary of the Year 2010 in April this year.

This contest was opened to all designated Administrative and Professional Secretaries in the Private, Public and Banking Sectors with Professional qualifications and experience.

It consisted of a written paper in two parts, namely Administrative, Secretarial Procedures and Business Communication, a Viva-Voce and Public Speaking Skills. A panel of distinguished personalities from the business, educational and social circles selected the Winner and a First and a Second runner-up.

The Winner of this coveted and prestigious title was Ms. Nishanthie Dissanayake, Executive Secretary to the General Manager of Galadari Hotel, Colombo. Nishanthie will now vie for the Asia Pacific Administrative and Professional Secretaries Award for the Year 2010, which will be conducted by the Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals in Asia Pacific (ASA) during its Congress, which will be held this year in Taipei.
