Power Sri Lanka 2010 exhibition in June
An international exhibition on power and energy is a boost to the
country's energy sector.
The first of its kind will be held from June 3-5 at the Sri Lanka
Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) organised by the Conference and
Exhibition Management Services Ltd. CEMS, USA and CEMS India.
The 2nd Power Sri Lanka 2010 International Expo, the three-in-one
exhibition will focus on developing power generation and transmission,
alternative power and renewable energy in Sri Lanka.
The first power expo was held in Bangladesh from 12-14 November 2009.
The concurrent exhibitions are on the Renewable Energy Sri Lanka 2010
Expo and E-Power Sri Lanka 2010 focusing on electric power equipment and
technology.
Exhibitors from around 10 countries are billed to participate at the
exhibition which would provide a business to business platform for
delegates, industrialists, importers, and distributors to interact.Group
Director, Global Operations CEMS, S.S.Sarwar said the exhibitions will
focus not only on Sri Lanka's power and energy sector but also cater to
all needs of all industrial sectors of the country.
General Manager Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, Vipula Wanigasekere said
energy is an essential component in the growth of an economy and an
exhibition of this nature will help accelerate the country's development
program and achieve faster economic growth.
The exhibitions would provide an opportunity to foreign investors and
visitors to familiarise with Sri Lanka's power and energy sector while
exploring investments in the country.
The power exhibitions which coincides with the International Indian
Film Academy (IIFA) Awards expected to attract a large number of
tourists to the country. CEMS held its first exhibition in Sri Lanka
titled Dye+Chem 2010 International Expo from March 4 - 6 at the SLECC.
Since its inception in 1992, CEMS has made a significant presence as
an exhibition organiser with operations in over six countries. CEMS
organisers over 25 exhibitions a year covering vital sectors of the
