Why stars shine secretly?

Golden frocks and golden carts
Snowy shoes and snowy beds
Honey apples and honey nectar
Given to her by Sun and Moon
She, the lovely star princess
Sleeps in a fairy world
Wakes from a dream of fairy
Opens the windows of her eyes
Spells to the innocent earth

Reich and handsome
But careless and mischievous
Create beautiful dreams
With help of their friends
But, fears to the royal sun shine
Yet, try to smile secretly
Clouds help them secretly
that's why we see in the sky
Stars shine secretly everyday

Mynahs in Kegalle

In the heart of Kegalle City
Opposite the Market Place
Lie Indian Villa trees
Of which some were removed
Making the population dense
Of Mynah birds

People rush in the evening to do final purchasing for the day
Or to return home after duties of the day
Mynahs begin to return home to these trees
One by one to end the day

By 5 o'clock in the evening
Start their singing
With sounds deafening
Thousand horns of vehicles drowning

Yet thousands of passersby
Without harkening go by
This unending music given to the sky
Leaving sweet music to die

People in the city
Please pass slowly to be pretty
To enjoy nature's music pretty
That out do the music dirty
Which come from men's instruments of music big and tiny?
Poets of nature ask humbly

D.J.M. Munaweera

The fate

The Sun peeped...
Through leafy branches
Lovingly...
Secretly...

I gazed
Affectionately...
I gazed

To my utter sorrow...
quickly a cloud hindered

Certainly...
I was so depressed

Remembrances

Through the sprinkle
My refractory mind is wafting
It's demented by effective remembrances
The heart full with fathomless feelings

The dreams that we are dreaming
Today
Will be a past remembrances
Tomorrow
Sometimes they are reliable
And sometimes unforgettable

Remembrances steal our time
But
Life will be move colourful
By unsounded and affable
Remembrances
the remembrances that give
Delicacy and consolation to life
Are 50 so lovable forever
The mind is full with
That kind of impressive things mean '
Life is so beautiful'

Kanchana M. Herath

Real truth

Realise the world
Recognise it
Then enter it
leaving the heap of sins
And bring in a sack of merits
But be care of those who live in it
As you will be grabbed
By the baits
Traps
of the lairs in it

Life

Life
Is
Like a
Piano

~~
The white keys
Represent
Happiness

~~
And
Black shows
Sadness
But as
You go
Through
Life's
Journey
Remember that
The black keys
Too
Make
Music for
You
