Wellness resort for war heroes soon

The Sri Lanka Army has started construction work on its newest
wellness resort for war heroes in Anuradhapura.
Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya yesterday
laid the foundation stone for the resort named Abimansala which will be
constructed in close proximity to the Nuwara Wewa in Anuradhapura.
Construction work on the proposed Abimansala will cost approximately Rs.
200 million where 50 veterans could be accommodated at a time. It will
consist of eight villas, each with four beds and TV facilities.
Five villas that could accommodate four people in each, separate
units for physiotherapy, counselling, hydrotherapy, library,
multi-purpose activities and recreation, will also be set up in the
complex.
