As the official sponsor of Sri Lanka Rugby, we feel that our obligation is that just taking the standard of the sport to the international arena but also strengthening the grassroots level of the sport, hence the recognition of talent through Caltex-Observer Touch Down Rugby Competition is vital for providing the future of Sri Lanka rugby added the Group Brand Manager Shehan Perera.

This popular competition is held for the seventh successive year and the first coupon will appear today in the Sunday Observer page 21. The coupons will also appear in the Daily News and Dinamina from next week.

At last year's competition, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the captain of the Sri Lanka Navy Rugby team was voted as the Most Popular Rugby Club Award at the Caltex-Observer Touch Down Rugby Awards 2009 held at Jubilee Room, Galle Face Hotel on 26th March 2010.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa was the chief guest at the awards ceremony.
