Army over 18 champs,St. Aloysius, Ratnapura under 14 champs



Champs in a happy mood...... St. Aloysius College, Ratnapura emerged champions in the under 14 age category at the 10th Korean Taekwondo Championships held at the National Youth Centre, Maharagama. TAEKWONDO: Sri Lanka Army Sports Club clinched the over 18 overall Championship Trophy at the 10th Korean Taekwondo Championships worked off at the National Youth Centre Indoor Stadium in Maharagama.

The under 14 Championship Title was won by St. Aloysius College, Ratnapura.

The tournament had as Chief Guest the Minister of Sports C.B. Ratnayake and the guest of honour was the Korean Ambassador in Sri Lanka Dr. Choi Ki Chul.

The Koica (Korea International Corporation Agency) organised the tourney in collaboration with the Korean Embassy in Sri Lanka.

There were nearly 300 sportsmen and sportswomen from 17 sports club that participated including Sri Lanka Army, Police and S.T.F. that participated.
