Yashodara Rashmi Walikala (7) of 143, Duwa Road, Horagala, Padukka is suffering from a heart ailment and the Chief Paediatric Cardiologist, Dr. K. Sivakumar who has recommended surgery, has advised to get the surgery done, being of high risk category, at MIOT Hospital, Chennai, India.

The cost of surgery and treatment is expected to cost around US $ 7,000 and an allocation of Rs.140,000 from the President's Fund, the parents appeal to the generous public for a further Rs.800,000 necessary for the entire procedure.

Please help eye patient

Amila Sampath Darmawardene (31) of 100, 7th Lane, Kumbukawatte, Gonapola, is suffering from a chronic eye ailment.

The Consultant Ophthalmologist, Dr. Geetha Krishnan Iyer, the surgery had to be performed at the Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation, Chennai, India, where the Exploratory Surgery will be performed. The cost is approximately Rs. 35,000 in Indian currency.

Kidney patient appeals...

Ravindra Wijayawardena of 33/1, Galawila Road, Homagama is suffering from a serious Kidney ailment and has been recommended transplant by specialists.
