Allianz Lanka branch in Kandy

Allianz Lanka spread its provincial outreach opening its sixth branch in the hill capital. CEO Allianz Lanka, Ms. Surekha Alles said that the opening of the Kandy branch consolidated Allianz’s relationship with existing Kandy clients, who had placed a considerable business portfolio with the company even prior to the branch’s establishment.

The new branch will be equipped to cater to a larger clientele. She outlined some of Allianz’s record-breaking successes in the local market during its short existence of five years, “Last year we became the first insurance company to achieve the Rs. 1 billion mark in General insurance GWP in less than five years of operations.

We also recorded the highest premium growth both in Life and in General when the insurance industry as a whole was showing a negative growth, not only growing the top line ours was the highest profit growth among the industry players too and we declared a 15% dividence for the Life customers in the first year of Life operations, once again the highest dividend declaration for the year in the market.

She attributed the company’s success to the fact that its products are unique in the market and the benefits are unmatched having the best team with the capability to serve local needs.
