Isolation

Left alone
With melancholy moon
Magical words pop up in mind
Words of unkind
Eyes filled with tears
Heart full of fears
Depressed and feel
When there's none to heal
Isolation...but
A golden opportunity
To reflect upon the past reality
Most beneficial
To know thyself and be crucial
Evaluate the wrong
And be strong
Isolation....
A positive aspect of satisfaction

My dear Dad...

Oh! My dear Dad,
Where are you now?
My heart shed blood
When I heard, you died..

I haven't spoken a word
Eve I haven't seen your face
For years
As you're so angry because of my love marriage

I know that it's my fault
But I thought, I can soothe you
Though you departed me
Without saying a word.

Oh my dearest Dad
Are you in heaven?
No matter where you are...
Because you are always in my heart

Mrs. N. Jeyawardena

War heroes

Thorn strewn thickets - rivers deep
Cloudy skies - roaring sea
They tread their way - seeing no end

Muddy trenches - soaring heat
In stormy weather - hungry and cold
They stayed long hours - strong and bold

Load was heavy - task was dangerous
Undaunted by obstacles- they fought on
From dusk to dawn

Bullets raining - bombs blasting
Writhing in pain - conquering the enemy
Was only their aim

Victory achieved - the great day dawned
Bringing glory to a country war torn

You are remembered with affection - that never ends
Cos you laid down your lives
That ours would not end

Sepali Perera

Hard blow

The night flashed
The murked sky scattered
The night full of nightmares
Thoughts a lot
Beyond the limit
Beside fluctuations
Beneath the heart
Something happened
Exactly nothing
Who mocked at her world
Who stole the cute smile of hers
No answers; no tears
Just a happiness
When there is nothing
To say everything
Glad in isolation.
Too much of anything is good for nothing
But,
Too much of laughing is good for living
No one to have rapport
I was led alone in the middle of the journey
Who will give me a life
No use of benedictions
No use of benefactions
Oh! My heroic girl
When the time is ripe
Everything will be okay
Life is our fate
Hold it with patience
Life is full of surprises
Handle it with challenges
I wish to be a babe
To forget my regrets
To do adventures
And to dream towards peaceful world
Death is inevitable
The same flower that smiles today
Will be dying tomorrow
It is the law of nature
Broken hearts have no spare parts
But,
Each dark cloud has a silver line...

Gauthama Buddha

To the tranquil state
To show the way
To the human man
Prince Siddhartha was born

He became Buddha
At last he attained Parinibbana
On a Vesak full moon poya day

Everything is extinguished
Other than Dhamma
Gauthama Buddha's noble teachings
Which brings happiness to the man ever
This should be preserved
As a precious stone
In everybody's mind
