It's the month of June - the month when lovely ladies all over the
world are recognised for their beauty, like the June brides who have
made a name for themselves in many a leading fashion magazine.
Here in our paradise island the search begins to crown a beauty as
Ms. Lanka 2010, and once again Technique International in collaboration
with Sunday Observer will go all out to ensure that the contest will be
another success story.
So if you are 18 years on June 1 and even if you are married you are
invited to send in your application to experience the glitter of a world
you dreamed of ever so often.
The closing date is July 14, so hurry up and mail your application
today.
Who knows you may be the lucky winner to wear the glittering Ms.
Lanka crown and the much admired sash together with many gifts, when the
pageant goes on board in October. Or you could win the prestigious title
Miss Sunday Observer Queen .
Beauty for a Cause moves into its 16th year and the main objective of
this pageant this year is to support the Differently Abled and
Under-Privileged for Vocational Training Skills.
This according to the Director Gwendoline Kuhatheva would be a
further step toward the challenging of the academic excellence and well
roundness of these young people who will be chosen for training.
To achieve their goals the organisation is seeking benevolent
financial support for this activity from interested corporate sponsors.
Last year Scholarships were given to five students for NVQ Level 4
and for four students for Management of Hair and Beauty Salons who were
deserving of support to complete the National Vocational Qualifications.
Students at the November 2009 awards received NVQ and Management
certificates.
So keep your applications rolling in and be in the forefront of
Beauty for a Cause - Ms. Lanka 2010 and Miss Sunday Observer Queen - two
prestigious titles awaiting your participation. |
