Need for unified voice against terrorism

Independent Commission appointed to find causes that led to terrorism:

The Armed Forces went to battle carrying guns in one hand, the Declaration of Human Rights in the other; they also took food for the liberated people:

President Mahinda Rajapaksa stressed the need for a unified voice against global terrorism and said certain countries which are sympathetic towards terrorists would ultimately have to pay the price for this attitude.

Tsunami over-reaction inevitable - Disaster Mitigation Director

The people’s reaction to tsunami alert signalled in the early hours of last Sunday was chaotic. Some people panicked and overreacted when tsunami watch alert was issued after an underwater earthquake, measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale, off the coast of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
