NDB donates books to Jaffna library

NDB officials hand over the books to the Jaffna Mayor Yogeswari Patkunaraja.

Jaffna was a cultural and literary stronghold with traditional values. Great scholars came from Jaffna and its library was a symbol of this literary greatness.

As a world-class Sri Lankan Bank, NDB continues its efforts to empower our youth to overcome tomorrow's challenges by focusing on the Bank's strategic CSR initiatives of education and entrepreneurship. In line with this strategic CSR focus, the Bank has donated a large number of books to the Jaffna library recently.

High quality supplementary reading material on varying subjects was donated by the Bank, catering to the needs of young children as well as university students. With the reawakening of the NE, the communities have the opportunity to rebuild their lives and achieve their ambitions. The Jaffna library plays a vital role in this activity, enabling students to obtain relevant reading material required for their studies. NDB is pleased to be a part of this activity that will in return benefit the community by helping develop truly world-class Sri Lankans.
