Fonny to give JVP the boot

Fonny has plans to reject the Bell Boys with the formation of his own political party. "You wait and see, both the government and the JVP will learn a lesson when our party gets its registration," a senior scribe from the Sinhala island heard Tea-Run Potato telling an Opposition politician at a diplomatic function.

Big Lady and her glass

Retired Big Lady was enjoying a `drink' at a diplomatic reception hosted by the Swiss lady who will be leaving shortly after completing her stint here. When she was asked to pose for a photograph, the Retired Big Lady stood with her 'usual glass' in hand but the photographer politely told her to pose without it.

Harr-Shah's ignorance

Harr-Shah, the self-appointed economic wizard was at a workshop for the Elephant Party's Provincial Council and LG members. But, apparently the party leader did not like the way Harr-Shah was trying to be a true pundit and displaying his ignorance of the audience. "Throw your economic jargon away and tell these members in a simple manner which all of us could understand," Ra-Blue had said.

Learn or depart

"How did you overcome the leadership crisis? You seem to have ignored the motto of our school - Learn or depart!" an old classmate told Ra-Blue last week. "This is because I am still learning things. Hence, how could I quit?," Ra-Blue retorted.
