Elephant House will introduce a range of new products and consolidate
its market leadership said President, John Keells Consumer Foods,
Jitendra Gunaratne at a ceremony to rebrand the company on Thursday.
He said the company will invest in new machinery and technology to
improve the cold chain network and increase brand awareness among
consumers.
Elephant House, Sri Lanka's leading manufacturer of carbonated soft
drinks and ice cream will continue to operate under the legal name
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC, while its business activities will be referred
to as Elephant House.
Gunaratne said, "That Elephant House has maintained its market status
for over 140 years offering the best to customers.
The rebranding is a step to strengthen the Elephant House brand
values and continuing to offer exciting products to our consumers". Head
of Carbonated Soft Drinks Chandima Perera, said "Our strategy is to now
build a strong masterbrand with the Elephant House name as the primary
identifier for the company and its business and product lines. LF
