ComBank cash prizes for internet banking

Lucky users of Commercial Bank's (CB) internet banking service are to be rewarded with cash prizes worth Rs. 800,000 over the next eight months in a promotion launched by the bank to stimulate higher use of the facility.

Accordingly, all personal customers of CB who pay bills above the value of Rs. 500 via internet banking will be eligible to enter a draw. The bank will reward 20 lucky winners each month with cash prizes of Rs. 5000 each.

The promotion will run till end February 2011, and the money will be credited to the customers of respective CB accounts, the bank said.

Settlement of telephone, water, electricity and internet bills, CMC rates, school fees, credit card outstandings and insurance premiums via the CB user-friendly internet banking system will be entitled participation in these monthly draws.

The convenience it offers is the most compelling reason for the use of the internet banking facility, a spokesman for the bank said.

This promotion is designed to create awareness, encourage online bill settlements and to reward customers who already use the service.

He pointed out that many corporate and individual customers already use this service which allows them to access their Bank accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week from anywhere in the world.
