Kaushalya rattles CCC batsmen

CRICKET: Off spinner Kaushalya Gajasinghe captured six wickets for 43 as Ragama Division I three day cricket tournament match which commenced at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

CCC: 176 (G. de Silva 42, H. Lakmal 24, C. Issanka 22, K. Gajasinghe 6 for 43, S. Perera 2 for 31).

Ragama CC: 184 for 5 (V. Perera 47, N. Priyanjana 84 n.o, S. Nimanka 2 for 45).

BRC take 1st innings lead

BRC took first innings points over Sri Lanka Navy SC on the second day of their SLC Under 23 division I three day cricket tournament match which continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

BRC: 331 for 9 decl.

Navy SC: 150 (U. Jayasundera 48, D. Chandima 21, R. Perera 4 for 52, Y. Abeykoon 2 for 31, M. Madushanka 2 for 37) and 159 for 2 (N. Ranasinghe 60 n.o, I. Chandrasiri 45).

Colts set for outright win

Middle order batsman Kusal Janith Perera hit an unbeaten 85 as Colts CC put themselves in contention for an outright victory over Seeduwa, Raddoluwa CC on the second day of their SLC Under-23 Division I three-day cricket tournament match which continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

Colts CC: 362 and 227 for 3 (O. Fernando 38, S. Silva 52, K. Perera 85 n.o, T. Perera 41).

Seeduwa Raddoluwa CC: 197 (L. de Silva 63, A. Gaffoor 28, C. Hasitha 24 n.o, S. Gunatilleke 25, T. Perera 2 for 22, C. Kumara 2 for 13, R. Weerasinghe 2 for 27, R. Silva 2 for 58).

Unbeaten ton from Sashrika

Middle order batsman Sashrika Pussegolla hammered an unbeaten century as the NCC piled up a massive 467 for 6 in their first innings on the second day of their SLC Under 23 division I three day cricket tournament match against Sri Lanka Air Force SC which continued at Maitland Place yesterday.

NCC: 467 for 6 decl (D. Chandimal 116, V. Kavinga 78, S. Pussegolla 100 n.o, I. Udayanga 61, A. Perera 55, H. Mawjood 23 n.o, A. Issanka 4 for 128).

Air Force SC: 245 for 7 (A. Emmanuel 52, A. Gihan 38, S. Bulathgala 56, U. Mayurakantha 2 for 55).

Bloomfield on victory course

Bloomfield moved closer towards recording an outright victory by reducing Moors SC to 200 for 8 in their second innings on the second day of their SLC Under 23 division I three day cricket tournament match which continued at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Moors SC: 89 and 200 for 8 (D. Gangoda 40 n.o, C. de Silva 52, K. Madushanka 22, D. Madumal 20, D. Munaweera 3 for 64, D. Fernando 2 for 27).

Bloomfield: 262 (D. Ratnayake 50, D. Munaweera 30,M. Warnapura 22, D. Fernando 35, A. Atapattu 40, S. Silva 20, R. Gunatilleke 22, K. Madushanka 3 for 58, S. Fernando 3 for 62, C. de Silva 2 for 53).
