Hutch to Middle East at Rs. 6

IDD call rates to the Middle East from as low as Rs. 6! Could this be for real? Yes, it can.

Sri Lankans need not look too far to be able to talk to their loved ones in the Middle East. Why? Because Hutch is giving them the chance to talk to their dear ones in the Middle East with some of the lowest IDD rates.

As per the Foreign Employment Bureau's official statistics, 1.7 million Sri Lankans are employed abroad of which 95 percent are in the Middle East.

The current practice for many family members is to wait for their friends and relatives to get in touch with them but Hutch is now playing a vital role in changing this situation. Senior Manager Acquisition and International Business, Hutch said, "In continuation of our vast array of IDD products like IDD Unlimited, IDD Buffet and India @ Rs. 2, we are now offering the most affordable call rates to the Middle East."

"Now calls to Bahrain, Israel and Jordan on any fixed line will be Rs. 6. If Hutch customers are calling the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq and Yemen they will enjoy a rate of Rs. 15.99 and for Qatar Rs. 19.99. We have empowered our customers to initiate IDD calling from Sri Lanka to close the gap between the seas."

He said that these tariffs are activated as soon as a customer reloads Rs. 100 or more on their Hutch connection.

There are no special cards or dial code activations needed to enjoy this tariff. "Most importantly we have laid emphasis on ensuring a high level of call quality and voice clarity."

The company is also continuing its network expansion and is to invest in customer touch points across the country with Hutch shops. The company has opened nine such shops from a total of 20 targeted by year end.
