The forest glade
On grass stubs
The sun lights up
Unseen winds
Cold air currents
Invite the birds
A lonely peahen
Walks up for grub
Pecking hard ground
Soft searching eyes
For fanned feathers
The tell tale tapping
Where peacock
Invites its mate
Forest pause
All stands still
Leaves stay silent
Unmoved
Motionless
As search ends
In an away
A fanned out rainbow
Dancing he comes
As nature ends

I am alone in a huge world
I am lost in a forest
With lots of problems
I really don't know
How to get out of it...
Every little step I walk
Every little word I talk
Create many questions
Sometimes I want to cry
And say to the world
This is enough
Let me live freely
Another time I think this is a dream

By being my best friend

Yesterday meets tomorrow
Latticed windows
Tailored lawns
Ancient trees
And long ago buildings
Flavoured with a cinnamon whiff
Rings still with placid memories

Dutch and British
Crows caw a top dustbins beside the Beira lake
Cars and trishaws run where rickshaws did
People hasen to offices and traffic congests
But long after
The rumble of vehicles dies down
The long cicada's trill
