Yusoof Cup for Moragasmulla SC

Moragasmulla SC carried away the Yusoof Cup beating Colombo Football Club in a thrilling tie breaker 5 - 4 at the City Football Complex yesterday. At the regulation time both teams were on equal terms (1-1).

Moragasmulla SC fought well for seventeen minutes with attacking play, but the opponents prevented them form scoring.

They were lucky to get a penalty kick which saw them move ahead and held on to this lead till lemons. Seven minutes after the turn around Colombo Football Club found the equalizer, 1-1. There onwards it was a Ding Dong battle with both teams moving up and down to find the winning goal, but none could achieve that and referee after 90 minutes introduced the tie breaker system.

This brought in good results for the Moragasmulla team.

Hanifa Yousoof, Chairman of Expo Lanka Ltd and Dr. Manil Fernando Director Youth Development FFSL who were chief guests gave away the awards.
