Navy - Defence Services Basketball champs

BASKETBALL: Sri Lanka Navy won the Defence Services Basketball Championship for 2010 in a closely contested match against Sri Lanka Army by 78 points to 66 in the match played at Police Park. Navy’s Lieutenant S. U. Soundararajah was picked as the Beat Offensive Player.

The fine play of the Navy team brought the team to the top after 23 years and this will be recorded as a historical victory. Commander of the Navy Vice-Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe was present at the match and he congratulated both teams for putting up a good show.
