NCC lead on first innings

NCC has already secured a first Innings lead over Colts CC and look
certain of a berth in the final of the SLC conducted Under 23 cricket
tournament on the second day of their semi-final match at the CCC
grounds Maitland Crescent yesterday.
NCC who were 434 for 6 overnight with Chatura Pieris unbeaten on 193
could not make much headway with the dismissal of Chatura Pieris at his
overnight score in the first over of the day. NCC were finally bowled
out for 476 with the top scorer Pieris striking 23 fours and two sixes
in his 231 ball stay at the wicket.
Colts in reply despite a fighting 117 by Roshane Silva who had 14
fours and a six facing 139 deliveries were all out for 254. Rohan
Laksiri (4 for 47), Chatura Pieris (3 for 66) and Roshan Wijenaike (2
for 34) were among the wickets for NCC.

Even exchanges at Havelock Park
Tamil Union were 115 for 1 in reply to Chilaw Marians 402 in their
Under 23 semi final match played at Colts CC grounds Havelock Park
yesterday.
Chilaw Marians who were 304 for 6 overnight went on to make 402 with
S. Kamaleen top scoring with 82.
