National Trust Bank champs for 2nd time

SOFTBALL CRICKET: National Trust Bank became the proud winners of the Intex Challenge Trophy for the 2nd time when they beat Ceylon Business Appliances Ltd by 36 runs in the final of the 2nd Mercantile Softball Cricket Sixes played at Shalika Grounds, Narahenpita.

The tournament was organized by the Mercantile Softball Cricket Association and sponsored by Micro PC Systems (Pvt) Ltd., NTB carried away the Intex Challenge Trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/=, CBA were awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 15,000/=.

Cash Prize and Trophy was awarded to the Man of the Series Ranga Seneviratne of CBA and the Man of the Final was Amila Perera of NTB. The Best Batsman and Best Bowler's trophies were won by Andy Solaman and Sammi Pradeep of NTB.

The prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest Kunanananda, Managing Director of Micro PC Systems (Pvt) Ltd.,

In the semi-finals, N.T.B. beat DHL (A) by 38 runs and CBA beat Hemas Manufacturing (A) by 6 runs.

Semi Finals

Chief Scores - NTB beat DHL (A) by 38 runs

CBA beat Hemas Manufacturing (A) by 6 runs.

Final

NTB beat CBA by 36 runs.
