Sumana B.V. All-Island Softball Cricket Champs

SOFTBALL CRICKET: Sumana Balika Vidyalaya, Ratnapura emerged champions at the All-Island girl's softball cricket tournament organised by Department of Education. Runners-up were Akiriwela Maha Aragama Junior School. Third place was won by Paduwasnuwara National School.

Central Province champions Mahamaya Girls' College team was defeated by Paduwasnuwara National School. The firm favourites Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo was also defeated in their preliminary round match. There were 27 schools that participated in this all-island tournament and the final was held at the Wadduwa Central College grounds.
