Munchee wins Brand of the Year at SLIM Brand Excellence 2010

Munchee won nine awards, including the Gold award for the Best Brand
of the Year, at the recent SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2010. The nine
awards comprised four Gold awards, four Brand Champion awards and a
Silver award for CSR. Apart from the Best Brand award, Munchee also won
Gold awards for the Best Local Brand of the Year, the Best Product of
the Year and the Best Export Brand of the Year.
This is the 4th occasion Munchee has secured the Brand of the Year
award at SLIM Brand Excellence Awards. A noteworthy achievement this
year was the Export Brand of the Year award that was conferred to
Munchee, that comes as an excellent acknowledgement of its contribution
towards generating much needed foreign revenue for the country's
economy. In addition the CSR award that was conferred to Munchee in
recognition of its unceasing corporate social responsibility activities
carried out including the education assistance program called Munchee
Shishyadara Scheme, support extended to elevate the standard of sports,
and the village assistance program called 'Munchee Samaga Gamata Sarana.'
The innovative aspects introduced by Ceylon Biscuits Limited and the
portfolio of Brands it owns and the high standards maintained throughout
the manufacturing process, the efficient distribution systems and the
commitment displayed by the workforce has been re-established by the
phenomenal recognition given to Munchee during 2010 Brand Excellence
Awards.
