Patavi, ballet-opera
Patavi, Ballet-Opera will go on the boards at Kularathna Hall, Ananda
College on October 18 at 6.00 p.m. The proceeds of the show will go to
the welfare of cancer patients.
BOOK LAUNCH
A Sinhalese translation of spiritual teacher J. Krishnamurti by
Ariyaratne Wijesinghe will be launched today at 4.00 p.m. at the Indian
Cultural Centre. A documentary on the life and times of Krishnamurti "
The Seer who walks alone " by Pupul Jayakar will also be screened.
Folk, contemporary dance performance
Traditional folk and contemporary dance performance by Rivege Dance
Studio will be held at Lionel Wendt theatre on October 24 at 7.00p.m.
CULTURAL NEWS
Misty and Gypsies at KHS Blast
The ideal combination of Sri Lankan bands Misty and Gypsies will take
on the dancing crowd at the “KHS Blast 2010” on October 21 at Hotel
Galadari. The proceeds will be channelled to the Alzheimer Foundation to
construct a Day Care Centre for patients with dementia.
”KHS Blast 2010” is a Dinner Dance organised by the Colombo Branch of
the OGA, of Kandy High School and is catering to dance enthusiasts.
Langauge Day at Royal
The Langauge Day of Royal College ( Middle School) Colombo will be
held on October 19 from 3.00 p.m. onwards at Navarangahala.
The language day is organised with the objective of providing
opportunities for students to display their abilities in the use of
languages in communicating with the world.
