FutureGov Sri Lanka - 2010 Forum

The ICTA, which functions under the Presidential Secretariat, will host the first ever FutureGov Sri Lanka 2010 Forum in Colombo, on October 28 and 29. UNCTAD Information Economy Report Launch

The UNCTAD Information Economy Report 2010 will be launched at the Jaic Hilton on October 26 at 4.30 pm. It is organised by LIRNEAsia.


Seminar - Is Our Stock Market Overheated?

A seminar themed 'Is our stock market overheated?' will be held on October 26 from 5.30 pm - 7.30 pm at the ICASL auditorium, Malalasekera Mawatha Colombo 07. It is organised by ICASL.


ICASL National Conference

Themed 'The world sees opportunity in Sri Lanka' the national conference of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka will be held from October 28 - 30 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The conference will be inaugurated on October 28 at 6.00 pm by Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa. The guest of honour will be US Ambassador Patricia Butenis and Keynote Speaker will be President's Counsel and Attorney General, Mohan Pieris.

This conference will feature provocative local as well as foreign speakers as panellists. Topics covered: Sri Lanka - the way forward and the Role of Professionals, Opportunities and Challenges in a Green Economy, Attracting Foreign Direct Investment - Opportunities for the Sri Lankan Corporates, Risks Recent Business Failures and its Impact on Economic Revival.


Post conflict Insurance Industry

A seminar themed 'Post war Sri Lanka's Insurance industry and

Future' will be held on October 28 from 2.30 pm - 5.00 pm at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Auditorium, Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 2.

The seminar will discuss trends, premiums and new tools as well as what the industries should know.


Management for Efficiency Improvement - '5S' Seminar in Sinhala

The seminar will be held on October 29 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Mahinda Saranapala who has over 40 years of management experience will conduct the seminar.


IPO Forum

MTI Corporate Finance, the Finance arm of MTI Consulting, will launch its IPO Forum themed 'IPOs: The Before and After' on November 4, from 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm at the Taj Samudra, Colombo. The forum will take an in-depth look at why and how firms gear up for public listing, and how an organisation should live up to the expectations of its shareholders following an IPO.
