Kanrich appoints banker as chairman

Banker S.H. Piyasiri has been appointed Chairman of Kanrich Finance Ltd. effective October 1. He held the post of General Manager/Chief Executive Officer, National Savings Bank (NSB), the only AAA rated local bank in Sri Lanka. During his career at NSB, his dynamic and innovative management style contributed to successfully transform the bank into a more customer focused institution by introducing customer focused new products and services.

Piyasiri's distinguished career in the banking and finance industry in Sri Lanka, covers over 35 years in different spheres.

He is a graduate in Economics (Banking and Currency) from the University of Peradeniya and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Irish Business School, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London.

He held the position of Colombo Centre President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London for two consecutive years, contributing

to the development of the banking industry in Sri Lanka.
