MCB Bank launches online banking

MCB Bank Ltd's vBanking (Virtual banking), its internet banking product will be launched in Sri Lank a on November 22 by the President of MCB Bank Ltd Pakistan, M.U.A. Usmani. vBanking provides a range of innovative services and features that have yet to be offered in the Sri Lankan market, which differentiates it from other internet banking products. The Bank promises that these innovative features will change how its customers bank, providing a level of convenience and flexibility, thus far not experienced.

Budget Seminar

The budget seminar organised by the Department of Inland Revenue will be held on November 22 at 6pm at the Ceylon Continental Hotel. The keynote speaker will be Treasury Secretary Dr P.B. Jayasundera.

Budget discussion

A discussion of the budget proposals will be held on November 23 at Cinnamon Grand Hotel from 7.30 am. The Treasury Secretary Dr P.B. Jayasundera will be the keynote speaker. It is organised by Ernst & Young.

HP will introduce a revolution in printing on November 23 at the Cinnamon Grand from 3-4.30pm.

CMA Budget Seminar

The Budget 2011 seminar focusing on 'Tax Proposals and the Impact on Business' organised by the Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka will be held on November 24, from 1pm at the Taj Samudra Colombo.

The keynote address will be by Commissioner General, Inland Revenue K.M.S. Kandegedara, who will speak on the Highlights of tax proposals in budget 2011.

Senior Partner - Gajma & Co N.R. Gajendran will speak on the Critical Analysis of Tax Proposals while Chairman Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Dr Anura Ekanayake will speak on the Impact on business and Economy.

The panelists will be Senior Partner of Ernst & Young Duminda Hulangamuwa, Partner of SJMS Associates Basheer Ismail, Managing Director of Chemanex PLC Preethi Jayawardene and Past President of the Tourist Hotels Association of Sri Lanka Prema Cooray.

National Business Excellence Awards

The National Business Excellence Awards 2010 will be held on November 25 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton at 6.00pm. It is organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
