HNB's 200th customer centre in Yakkala



Hatton National Bank Chairman, Rienzie Wijeytilleke handing over a Gami Pubuduwa loan to a recipient at the opening of the 200th customer centre at Yakkala.

Hatton National Bank opened its 200th customer centre in Yakkala recently. The bank begun 120 years ago with only a single branch in Hatton has created history by becoming the very first commercial bank in Sri Lanka to have 200 customer centres.

The chief guest was Chairman HNB Reinzie Wijetilleke and the guests of honour were Managing Director/CEO HNB Rajendra Theagarajah and Mayor of Gampaha Eranga Senaratne.

The bank organised a series of events which commenced a week in advance of the opening. 200 trees where planted in two schools in the Yakkala area, Gamini Kanishta Vidyalaya and Chandrajothi Maha Vidyalaya. Also through the bank's Nena Pubuduwa scheme two libraries were gifted to these schools.
