An era of prosperity

President Mahinda Rajapaksa commissioned the first stage of the Magam Ruhunupura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port on Thursday ushering in a new ara of development in the country.
Nidahasa, a cultural exhibition was held at the Independence Square to mark the beginning of the second term of President Rajapaksa and his 65th birthday.
Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne, Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena , Petroleum Minister Susil Premajayanth, Special Representative from China, Sang Guowei and Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama were present.
