FCCISL ties up with SLIM to promote Gamata Marketing

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) has tied up with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) to promote Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) towards a more marketing oriented business approach through its Gamata Marketing program.

The objective of the program is to make regional SMEs aware of marketing principles and applications using strategies and tools for targeting of customer segments focused on delivering more specific products and services. FCCISL and SLIM believe that this knowledge based initiative will help uplift their business performance to the next level through streamlining their focus, attitudes and orientation towards market based product offerings. FCCISL and SLIM along with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Central Province, Sabaragamuwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Wayamba Chamber of Commerce and Industry have planned a series of programs under this initiative. The first program was held recently in Kandy, with two other programs scheduled for Ratnapura and Kurunegala on December 15 and 18. The final outcome expected is the improvement of the regional economy by developing more dynamic, innovative and competitive entrepreneurs in the country.
