Intercity train service

The Sri Lanka Railways (SLR) will commence a 12-day special intercity
train service from Colombo to Bandarawela during the forthcoming school
vacation and the Christmas season commencing from December 11
(Saturday).
The special upcountry intercity train service which commences on the
directive of Transport Minister Kumara Welgama will run from December 11
to 31 and stops at Peradeniya, Gampola, Nawalapitiya, Hatton, Talawakele,
Nanuoya, Ambewela, Ohiya, Haputale and Diyatalawa railway stations.
The train leaves Colombo Fort Station at 6.40 am each day and reach
Bandarawela at 4.10 pm, while the same train will return from Bandarwela
the following day at 6.40 am.
