Two girls among five Super Gold Award winners

PHYSICAL FITNESS AWARDS: Two girls are among the five recipients of the Super Gold Awards made by the Central Province Sports Ministry on performances throughout the year. There were various tests conducted to pick the winners by the doctors of the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital and the Medical Faculty of the University of Peradeniya.

Those who won the Super Gold Awards were: W.A. Chathurika, P. Chrishanthi while the boys were: J. Jayaweera, K.M.U. Priyadharshana and S. Amaradasa. After careful tests made by the doctors, there were 84 who got the general award, 13 Bronze, 10 Silver, 12 Gold and 5 Super Gold. Awards were presented by the Minister of Sports (CP) Anusha Sivaraja, Governor of CP Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Minister of Health CO Keerthi Amaratunge and Director of Sports CP H.G. Ariyaratne.
