Deiyannewela Playground - two soccer titles

Football: Deiyannewela Playground team won two football titles while Pahala Deiyannewela team won one title at the Inter-Playground and Community Centres Football Tournament conducted by the Playgrounds Department of the Kandy Municipality over the weekend.

The cricket title was won by the Getambe Playgrounds team.

Under 14 Football: Champions Deiyannewela team, runners-up: Pahala Deiyannewela team.

Under 15 Football: Champions Pahala Deiyannewela team, runners-up: Nittawela Playgrounds team. Under 19 Football: Champions Deiyannewela team, runners-up: Watagoda CC team.

Six-a-side softball cricket: Champions Gatambe Playgrounds team, runners-up: Katukelle playgrounds team, 3rd: Lewella playgrounds team. There were 28 teams that participated in the Softball cricket tournament.

In the under 14 football tournament, there were 16 teams that participated and in the under 15 and under 19 tournaments there were 13 teams that participated.
