NDB Bank at Economic Centre

NDB Bank extended its presence to the Narahenpita Economic Centre.

The Bank has taken measures to provide a seven day service throughout the year, ensuring that its customers will have unhindered access to the bank’s products and services.

Commercial Safety opens Viro showroom

Commercial Safety (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka’s supplier of safety and protection goods, opened its Viro Product Showroom at

Messenger Street. The showroom was opened by Dr. Gianluca Rubagotti, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Italy.

This is the second showroom opened by Commercial Safety (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Gianluca Rubagotti, also opened the website of Safety (Pvt) Ltd, www.comsafe.lk, where customers can view and order VIRO products as well as other safety and protection goods the company imports and markets in Sri Lanka.

Commercial Safety engages in supplying safety and protection goods and utilities as well as general hardware items to reputed and well known companies in Sri Lanka more than a decade.

Commercial Safety’s dedicated service and customer care and its good reputation for importing and supplying quality products, the company was awarded the sole distributorship of VIRO S.P.A. Italy products in Sri Lanka from 2007.

Sri Lankan customers can purchase original Viro products from the authorized retail sellers all around the island certified by Commercial Safety (Pvt) Ltd., said the Managing Director of the company Faizal Buhary, who further explained that customers can reach the sales personnel of the company on a dedicated hotline at any time throughout the day and advised not to get caught for counterfeit products.

He also noted that any person or company importing or distributing counterfeit Viro products in Sri Lanka will be legally prosecuted incoming future.

NCCSL seminar on “Information for Innovation”

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka(NCCSL) in association with the Information Service Centre, Industrial Technology Institute will hold a seminar on “Information for Innovation” on January 6, from 9.00 a.m to 12.30 p.m at the National Chamber Auditorium D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The Resource persons will be Senior Scientific Officer of ISC/ITI Thushara Abeysekera, who will speak on “Information Needs of Business and Industry” and Senior Scientific Officer, ISC/ITI Purnima Jayasinha on “Supporting Business and Industry through ISC”.

Munchee Samaga Ridee Reyak

Group Director/Head of Marketing and Sales of Ceylon Biscuits Limited Nandana Wickramage presented the sponsorship cheque to Chairman Cinestar Foundation Jayantha Dharmadasa during the Munchee Samaga Ridee Reyak 8 Show held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium last week.

Jaffna International Trade Fair “Opens for Business”

The Jaffna International Trade Fair will be held for the second consecutive year giving the opportunity for all industries to set up their business in a land that has not been accessible for more than three decades.

Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd is organising the Jaffna International Trade Fair 2011, “Open for Business” from January 21 to 23 at the ground adjoining Durayappah Stadium with the support by Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL), Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Yarlpanam and Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and India has been named as the partner country for this exhibition.

The FCCISL is organising a business delegation from Colombo to the Fair offering an all inclusive special package with the objective of creating a gateway.
